Laura Hamilton began studying Photography at Savannah College of Art and Design in 2000. She received her BFA from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2007. In May, 2009 she received her MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. Laura currently lives in Brooklyn, NY and is teaching Photography classes at Rutgers University.
Laura’s photography has been exhibited widely in group exhibitions and has received numerous awards including Best of Show at the Community College of Denver student show in Colorado. She has had student invitationals at the Ironton Gallery and the Courtyard Marriott Gallery both in Colorado. Laura has shown in many juried exhibitions, including 2009 Texas National, curated by Mel Chin, Alternative Process exhibition at SOHO Photo Gallery in New York, and Lakewood Cultural Center in Colorado.
